For Those Who Are..."Not Quite Ready to Toss in the Key"

Behind Notre Dame cathedral, connecting the 4th arrondissement (Ile de la Cité) to the 5th arrondissement (Quartier Latin), is the Pont de l'Archevêché.  Similar to the Pont des Arts, the Pont de l'Archevêché is covered in locks from both lovers past and present...or is it?

We were unaware that the tradition of lovers attaching padlocks to the Pont des Arts was carried out on other bridges in Paris as well.  We like to think of it as the "copycat" bridge.  Upon walking across the bridge my husband remarked: "This is the going steady bridge...for those who are not quite ready to toss in the key".

I thought it was rather amusing.
