Berthillion

Berthillion is a French manufacturer of luxury ice cream and is considered to be the best ice cream in Paris, if not all of France.  Located on Ile St- Louis, this ice cream is perfect for a stroll along the Seine.  Though many places on Ile St-Louis sell Berthillion ice cream, the actual shop is located at 31 Rue St Louis en l'ile.  One scoop will run you about 2,50€, which is slightly more expensive that the standard ice cream in Paris, but it's worth it!

I love the waffle cones are the standard in Paris...they are sooo much better than regular cones.  It should be noted, however, that one scoop of ice cream is much smaller in Paris than in North America.  One scoop on the other side of the Atlantic is equivilant to about one large tablespoon...something I'm definitely not used to seeing here! But it's probably the reason why French women have such small waists!

Curious as the flavors served at Berthillion?
