In Èze, a town about 15 minutes drive from Nice, lies the Fragonard Parumerie. If you are ever in Nice, I suggest you treat yourself to a visit to this site. Guests are treated to a free guided tour through the parfumerie, where you get to see the employees hard at work making some beautiful scents. It really was quite interested to get to see where the nose would work, all of the soaps being hand-painted, lotions being mixed, and all of the bottles being hand-labelled. It's not too often you see a company that runs like this anymore! After the tour, they lead you into the boutique where you can sample all of their many scents. I ended up purchasing the Fleur de Vanille eau de toilette and my husband purchased the olive oil soap (which was a massive piece of soap that seemed to never end!). Surfing around their site now, I just realized that the have several boutiques in Paris...I am definitely visiting on my trip this time around. One of my regrets last year was that I didn't purchase the Juste un Baiser (Just a Kiss) eau de toilette...it smelled so pretty! Perhaps I may have to invest in a Lavende eau de toilette as well!
