La Droguerie

La Droguerie is a quaint and exceptionally colourful craft store located in the 1e arrondissement in Paris.  I snuck over to see it one morning while my husband while still sleeping.  I loved everything about it! I'm pretty sure that if there was ever a type of bead that you were looking for, that you would be able to find it here!

It was a little magical walking around the store.  I'm not sure I've ever been in a store that exhibited as much colour as La Droguerie.  Though I only stayed in the store for a short time, I'm pretty sure I could have spent hours in there ogling at everything they had in stock! 

I love this wall of buttons! I don't think they could have showcased them in a better way!

I think this video from Dior is super fun.  It's Dior make-up mimicking some of the fun games that we all love playing.

I have a bunch of reward points at my local pharmacy that I can't wait to spend.  And guess what I'll be spending them on...Dior make-up of course!

Pylones

If you are looking for a uniquely colourful and creative gift while in France, look no further than Pylones.

Pylones opened their doors in 1985 and introduced us to a world of bright colours, innovative designs and storefront windows that make you stop in your tracks and stare.  Their products are utterly unique and memorable and would make a perfect conversation piece.

In Paris, you can visit some of their notable locations in the Carrousel de Louvre, rue de Bac and  Île Saint-Louis.  If you are stateside, you can visit one of the multiple locations in Manhattan or order from the online boutique here.

Miss Piggy's Paris Dessert Table

I love this Miss Piggy dessert table that was featured on Amy Atlas last week...can you guess why? I think the Eiffel Tower in the centre of the table may serve as a pretty obvious hint!

I guess in the new Muppets movie that is coming out, Miss Piggy works at French Vogue, hence the Parisian theme.  Of course, I love the Eiffel Tower, but this table has so many other great features!  I love the fondant-covered cookies with Miss Piggy's outfit "picks" on them.  They are super cute.  I also love the Eiffel Tower chocolate pops (I haven't bought this mold yet, but I really should)...the pink is so vibrant and spacing it with the cream-colored pops really made the colour pop!

The gum "tape" is another very creative touch.  Labelling it as a measuring tape adds to the French Vogue fashion theme.  And those lipstick pens....marvellous!

A Girl's Fairytale Apartment in Paris

Sometimes I like to dream.  I spend far too much time flicking through apartments in Paris on Christie's Great Estates.  Though perhaps not the best apartment for me, you have to look at this apartment I spotted! It would be any young girl's fairytale apartment.

I love the mural on the wall and the pink chairs in the living room.  The colours are super chic.  The bedroom is fit for a princess! Very charming.

Rouge Coco Shine - Royalleiu

Have you managed to sneak in your Rouge Coco Shine Play Photo Shoot yet?  I am obsessed with the new Rouge Coco Shine Royallieu lipstick I bought the other day.  I tend to like lighter colours on my lips, and this shade is just perfect!  The lipstick is actually really moisturizing, which I love, so you don't have to apply a coat of lip gloss on top of it.

Printemps Christmas Window Display 2011

Printemps revealed their Christmas Window Display earlier this week.  The display featuring Karl Lagerfeld dolls performing different tasks around Paris.  Lagerfeld, along with Vanessa Paradis, were at Printemps for the big reveal.

Fajitas

When in Paris earlier this year, I was craving some Mexican food.  To my luck, there was a small Mexican  restaurant just steps from where we were staying.  My husband and enjoyed a lovely dinner at Fajitas located in the 6e arrondissement. The restaurant itself is quite small, but it was clean. We both ordered chicken quesadillas and shared a side of rice. The quesadillas were delicious! They had the perfect amount of both cheese and chicken and the tortilla was grilled just perfectly (not too crispy). They were served with salsa and guacamole. The guacamole was wonderful...very tasty. Service was good (and in English). We would definitely visit again!

Sweet Table Contest

I entered my Stella & Dot Parisian dessert table into the Sweet Table Contest and the Canadian submissions are now up! I'm up against some tough competition, but I'm still proud of what I did on such short notice! The cookies are my favourite part of the table (and coincidently took the longest to do!)
